Please take note of this blog. Your life could depend on it.
All of us who live in the great US of A are subject to the great blessings of the land of plenty and the pursuit of happiness. Unfortunately many Americans are making daily choices that negatively affect their health and well-being. Epidemic levels of obesity are real. Heart disease, diabetes and stroke kill millions. Not to mention cancer. (New cancer prevention guidelines from the American Cancer Society say at least 30 minutes a day of dedicated exercise above and beyond the usual activities of daily life on five or more days a week is needed to really reduce your cancer risk)
A little over two years ago, a good friend of mine from Penn who lived just down the road on the banks of the St. Joe River had a stroke. Mike Kramer was busy opening an office in Atlanta, traveling back and forth from Florida. He died only a few days after having a stroke.
Mike and I were fellow high jumpers on the Penn track team. He was like a coach on the field and help me become one of the top high jumpers in the state. We also shared a love of music and many times got together to play our guitars. He was a member of the famed Harman Dr. Gang.
He is missed very much by his family and friends.
Please consider the daily choices you are making. Include regular physical activity. Be more aware of what you eat. Take proper care of the body God has given you.
You owe it to yourself and to the ones you love.
