Ants

Ants never quit. If they're going somewhere and you try to stop them, what will they do? They go up, down, all around. And how long will they keep looking? UNTIL they find another way! So let us learn from the ants. Never quit. Keep going. You can reach that goal. Go up, around, back down, until you find a way. Just keep moving. And one day you'll be there and look back at the amazing journey. Wow, I made it. What a trip! (Jim Rohn, The Ant Philosophy)

Coach John Wooden

I consider it a great privledge to have grown up with the teaching and inspiration of the great coach and man John Wooden. He passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 99. John Wooden is recognized as the greatest coach of any sport of all-time. He was my Dad's coach. He played at Indiana State for Coach Wooden. Many of you knew my Dad, Coach Bob Brady. A health teacher at Penn High School. I always saw my Dad writing his daily to do list. This was before the success and business gurus. And I usually saw Coach Wooden's saying "make everyday a masterpiece" on the list. My Dad was greatly influenced by Coach Wooden as were countless others. I have many books of Coach Wooden. One story he told was when he was in the field plowing as a young boy and he couldn't get the ox to move. Becoming more frustrated with the animal and yelling at it, his father watched from across the field. Still the ox did not move. His father walked over to the old mule and calmly stroked and spoke to it. The mule began to move. It was then he realized even a stubborn old mule responds to kindness. I love you Coach Wooden. I love you Coach Brady.
You are missed but not forgotten.

Same Time Next Year

Where will you be next year? Well on your way to accomplishing your goals? Do you have goals? Do they include health, fitness & wellness? Why not? I'll make it easy for you. Set one goal. Right now. Go on. Do it. Twenty minute walk three days a week. Drink 8 glasses a water a day. Set a goal. My goal for you is that you'll not be at the same place next year. Meet you here, next year, same time.

Day Dreamin'

I'm sure you've had a dream before and when you woke up you had to think for minute because it just seemed so real. When we dream at night, we have no idea or control over that dream. It just happens and the next morning we either can't remember it or we're perplexed about it.

And then, there are moments in time when we stare off in the distance and are minds put together a whole scenario in seconds of possibilities and dreams of a life we may or may not ever know and experience.

I say dream. Keep dreaming. Reach out for everything you've ever wanted. Why not you? Why not now? Success. Happiness. Health. Fitness. Relationships.

Anyone who has accomplished anything, small or great, have dreamed and believed!

Your turn.

Hey Hey Hey, Good-bye!

It's been said, wherever you're at, be there. When you are fully engaged, in the zone, caught in the moment, there is no distractions that can pull you away from the greatness of accomplishing your goals - whatever it may be at the time. BUT, there are many times when we doubt, looking at defeat, listening to a million voices whisper telling you to leave, but you know that chasing shadows don't get you anywhere cause you've there! (Rich Mullins) Now what? Develop a mindset of focus, perseverance and commitment. Have fun, laugh and live. Remember we were created for relationship. Meet with friend, workout with a loved one or call your Mom, Dad, Aunt or Uncle.
And just remember life is short. As the late great John Wooden said, "Make ever day a masterpiece". Na na na na, na na na na, hey, hey, good-bye! Say good-bye to whatever has held you back from being your best!

The Race is On

Hello my friends. It's been too long. Hope your doing well. I want to let you all know that it's time. And I promise to be there for you. Why? Because I need you. It's something from deep down inside. If I give one person hope, direction or the strength to believe, then I have succeeded.
So I ask you to follow this blog, tell friends, and together we can build community. A community of believers. Believers in living life 100% to the fullest in mind, body and spirit. And we all know it's a journey. But we have not arrived. Not yet my friends, not yet. Let's all get back in the race!
